STEPS OF THE Seeker
The seeker is a growing new believer who has a regenerated spirit that is connected to God by the divine and miraculous work of the Spirit. The seeker is committed to renewing and transforming his mind with the Word of God in a deeper way. The seeker is moved to know God more by His Word. This is why learning the scriptures is the only way to truly and fully continue to grow as a new creation in Christ and become the Son of God in his life. The seeker's zeal is becoming tempered with learning and understanding more about God pursuing a disciple's approach to his relationship with God.
Step 1: Trials and Tribulations
Understand that trials, tribulations, afflictions, and trouble are part of the making and shaping of the believer at every level of growth throughout the believer's life. The seeker like the new believer, needs to know early in their salvation walk, and keep in mind, that this isn’t a religious walk about just going to church, but rather, learning about Jesus's teachings for growth in his way of bearing fruit for the kingdom of God. Trials are just a way of moving the seeker from one state of being to another.
Step 2: Transition and Transformation
Knowing that trials, tribulations, afflictions, and troubles are catalysts and motivators for change the seeker can look closer for the lessons to be learned through them with faith hope, and patience. Transition and transformation both denote movement. Transition is more of an external and physical type of movement as in location or path. Transformation is an internal movement as getting a deeper mindset or heart/nature (spirit). Often both of these occur as a result of the believer going through trials, with the right attitude, expectancy (God will help you through), and faith.
Step 3: Pleasing God; Revelations; Obedience; Favor
Having the right relationship with God is essential to pleasing Him; and being able to receive His revelations and favor. Proverbs 16:7 declares "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." It is also necessary to walk in obedience to the revelations that one receives from God. God's revelations are the lamp for one's feet and light to the path one should follow.
Step 4: Triumph
Recognizing and acknowledging the moves of God on one's behalf is a further opportunity for the believer to walk in the Will of God and testify of His goodness. The believer should understand that triumph is new ground for the believer.
Step 5: Newness and Proving
Triumph is God's delivering hand in bringing the believer into the new place God prepared for the believer. It is a place where the believer must become established and proven by living according with God's purposes in the new place.
Step 6: Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving
The believer should be perpetually in prayer praise and thanksgiving to God in everything. Recognizing that one is continually being prepared for greater works as one progresses along the journey of life to fulfill God's great purposes.
